Mahmoud Al-Katib is the Managing Director of TSTN Limited. He is a transportation and safety expert. Until recently, he was the Business Development Director for the Transportation Division at TRL. He was previously a Programme Manager, responsible for directing projects in various sectors of the transport and safety business. He holds a BSc degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters Degree in Transport Planning and Management.

Mahmoud is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport, a Fellow of the Institute of Logistics and a Fellow of the Institution of Highways and Transportation. Mahmoud is an experienced Project Director having worked in the U.K, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He has managed and directed projects in the field of traffic, intelligent transport, and road safety engineering. Mahmoud has designed and managed UTC systems, developed complex urban schemes and conducted safety audits at various stages. Mahmoud has also worked in the design and construction of many transportation projects.

He has presented numerous papers at international conferences in the US, Europe, U.K. and the Middle East. He has held a number of safety workshops in accident data collection and analysis systems.

Mahmoud provides expert advice to the private and public sector clients, on transport assessments of new major development. He has also provided advice to policy and decision-makers in both local and national governments. He was the Chairman of the Council of the Association of European Transport for 2000 -2001 .
